Estes Valley Piece Corps (Quilting)

Every Thursday afternoon from 1 to 3 we meet at the church to tie together quilt tops, batting and quilt backs to form quilts to bring warmth and comfort to individuals around the world. Our quilts go to Lutheran World Relief, La Puente in Alamosa, individuals in our community and elsewhere when we are notified of a need.

“At our October 2, 2020 worship we blessed 152 quilts with 135 heading to Lutheran World Relief, 16 to be taken by the work crew to La Puente in southern Colorado, and 1 given to Pastor David Nelson visiting from Kansas City who was selected in this year’s drawing.  Generous donations from the congregation that day will provided $275 for the LWR shipping fund to help defray the costs of sending these quilts to the places where they are most needed.”

All of the fabric used to make our quilts is donated from members of our church, friends of church members and members in our community.

“We would love to have you join our ministry.  If you would like to join our efforts or like further information, feel free to email Lory McDonald at themcdonalds4@yahoo.com.”
